These books we didn't all read at one time but we keep reading in them every once in a while. Mumpel enjoys very much the novel about a little sioux boy as well as the information book for smaller kids whereas Rob reads about facts of indian life. Of course he likes all the info on culture and traditions, getting to know how first nations used to live a couple hundred years ago. But he does actually ask about their situation nowadays as well which gives him and us a wider spectrum of all of the history up until today. So I learned from the kids'  interest as well.

Wir lesen immer mal wieder in diversen Büchern über Indianer. Mumpel mag vor allem Geschichten zum Thema hören und liebt auch ihre Infobücher für kleinere Kinder. Robin dagegen liest gern über Fakten zum Thema. Natürlich mag er gerne hören und sehen wie Indianer vor ein paar hundert Jahren gelebt haben, mag das typische Bild das wir von den Indianern haben. Trotzdem fragt er mich auch nach ihrer heutigen Situation, wie sie heutzutage leben und warum sie so leben. Ich lerne hierdurch auch eine Menge und bekomme ein differenzierteres Bild.
